Steph spent the first part of her career campaigning on nature conservation and sustainability, before moving into corporate responsibility a few years ago. Working professionally on sustainability issues and influencing change, she chooses her personal banking to ensure it's aligned to, not undermining, her professional purpose. She's been interested in finance for several years as the third significant lever of change alongside Government/policy and business practice. Like fellow Board member, Alice Brown, Steph advanced her knowledge of sustainable finance further through the Friends of the Earth 'OwnIt' programme, and brings her background on corporate reporting and net zero carbon commitments to the Board. She has been a Cooperative Bank customer since 2013 and a supporter of the Save our Bank campaign since its kick-off in 2015.
